Thoughts

Dear Karen, you were the first person to contact me from 54 when I was due to arrive as the new Boss and I quickly realised that you were the one who could keep me on track! You always had the measure of people, whether to make them laugh or tear a strip off - you had the perfect way to do either. You always went the extra mile, especially for the Association members. Claire and I have so many happy memories of our time with you on 54 and catching up as if it was yesterday each time we were back at Waddington. Everyone who met you came away a better person, we are forever grateful to have got to know you. Sorry we can't be there with Dave and all your family and friends today but rest assured we are with you in spirit from across the globe. Our love and prayers from Tim and Claire Monk

✨ Today I am remembering the life of the beautiful Karen Cropper ✨ I had the pleasure of knowing you for many years and even living with you for some of that time and although my life lead me on a different path, we always kept in touch when we could and I’m grateful for that ☺️ You are one of the best and that’s clear to see by all you knew and I’ll certainly cherish the memories we had together from bingo & quiz nights to evenings at badminton, evenings out getting dressed up and not forgetting looking forward to what was on the tea menu at your house daily 😁 There was always a card through the post on my birthday and Christmas and I was so happy to have you with me on my 30th Birthday and my personalised gift you gave me will be treasured always. Life can be so very cruel sometimes and covid certainly hasn’t helped this past year and although I wish I could of seen you again since finding out you were poorly😔 I hope you are now resting in peace 🕊 I’ll be sure to hold onto to my loved ones a little tighter and my thoughts are with you and your loving family at this time ❤️❤️ Lots of love Stephie-Doo xxxx

My dearest Karen! Oh what a character you were! You never failed to make me and all those around you smile, laugh and feel just so happy! On my first day on 54 you greeted me with the warmest of smiles and cheery self! Since then our friendship just grew and grew! We’d sneak away from our offices to come and chat about anything and everything! I loved sitting with you just talking and laughing! You were my safest space! My bestest person! You always looked out for me and were there with the biggest of cuddles on dark days reminding me how light the tunnel could be! For that, I am and will forever be grateful! Your stories and rants when you’d end with “wank stain” my dear Kaz you absolutely cracked us up! Our coffee club with Sam! Our trio of friends! Always something to look forward to! Hazelnut latte’s and cake! Us laughing when Sam baked a banana bread and left full bananas in! We laughed so hard! You gave him baking lessons and we braved the next batch! You wernt a big drinker but found the Sqn punch a great beverage! The stories of the nativity play! I will never stop laughing! You absolute legend! God Mrs C, I could go on and on! You were my person! I loved you and will always love you! You were a big sister/second mother! I miss you more than words can say! You will forever be in my heart! My dearest lady, sleep tight and fly high! Heaven has gained an angel!! Love you always and forever xxxxx
